Obituary

Virginia A. Cochran, age 78 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in Paris Health Care Center. She worked as a book keeper for Art Reese Lumber Company for 25 years and Illinois Cereal Mill for 24 years. Virginia was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was active in the Relay For Life and was Team Captain for the Cancer Crusade.

Mrs. Cochran was born September 4, 1932 in Symmes Township, Edgar County, Illinois to the late Carl A. and Mary Ina (Downey) Martin. She married William E. Cochran, Jr. October 25, 1958 in the First United Methodist Church in Paris, Illinois, he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son Doug Cochran and his wife Dena of Paris, Illinois, and two grandchildren, Sarah Cochran and Thomas Cochran, both of Paris, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister Dorothy Schall.

Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Fairchild officiating.
