Wm LeRoy Wieland age 82 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 5:55 a.m. Saturday November 14, 2020 at his residence. A Visitation will be from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. Thursday November 19, 2020 with funeral services at 2:00p.m. at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Paris, Illinois.
In keeping with Federal Mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone is asked to be patient and abide by the state regulation of 25 visitors with masks allowed inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome, but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects will be able to do so.
LeRoy was born July 4 th , 1938 in Kansas, Illinois the son of the late Ernest and Margaret (Davis) Wieland. He married Carolyn (Armstrong) Wieland on May 26, 1972 in Marshall, Illinois.
LeRoy was retired from the Local 841 Operating Engineers in Terre Haute, Indiana. He enjoyed being a prankster with everyone involved in his life.
LeRoy is survived by his wife; Carolyn (Armstrong) Wieland of Paris, Illinois, his children; Bill (Mary) Wieland of Orlando, Florida, Andy (Teena) Wieland of Orlando, Florida, his stepchildren; Jamie (David) Bittinger of Decatur, Alabama, Joseph Ricketts of Decatur, Alabama, Scott Ricketts of Philippines, his siblings; Nancy Secondino of Vermilion, Illinois, Robert "Weegie" Wieland of Paris, Illinois, Rick Wieland of Paris, Illinois, a brother in law; Jerry (Connie) Armstrong of Danville, Illinois, his grandchildren; Patrick Wieland and Elizabeth (Duncan) Popkins, his step-grandchildren; Eddi-Lee Jones, Ashlee (Brandon) Smith, Helee (Leroy Husher) Jones, Jonathon (Shannon) Jones, Jacob (Cassie) Stone, Zachariah Ricketts, Kara Ricketts, Chase (Kasey) Ricketts, Justin Bittinger, Hayley Malone, 3 great-grandchildren, 18 step great-grandchildren, a special niece; Brandi Hodgson of Paris, Illinois, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, his four legged companion; Che Che, he was preceded in death by his parents; Ernest and Margaret (Davis) Wieland, a brother; Ronald Wieland, a sister in law; Susie Armstrong, and a grandson; Drew Wieland.
