Wilma Jeannie (Burgess) Hurlbutt age 85, of Charleston, IL and formerly of Paris passed away at 6:54 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Charleston.

She was a Realtor and Broker at Jim Malhoof Reality in Peoria IL and she was the treasurer for the City of Williamsfield, IL. Wilma was a supervisor in the garment industry in Paris, IL and Paducah, KY. She was a member of the 1 ^st United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Williamsfield, IL.

Services are 4 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Pastor Joy Starwalt officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation is planned with burial at a later date.

Memorials contributions may be made to the transplant fund for her granddaughter, Stacey Daniels in care of Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.

Wilma was born in Redmon, IL June 22, 1932 the daughter of the late Joseph Wesley and Cecil Faye Chandler Coad. She was raised by her grandparents Arthur and Zula Chandler. Wilma married Clayton Tucker Hurlbutt in 1978 and he passed away August 2008.

She is survived by her son Wayne (Twila) Burgess of Neoga, IL; her grandchildren: Jessica (Herb McElwee) Burgess of Mattoon, IL, Amanda (Collin) Peterson of Hendersonville, TN, Andrea (Robert Barton) Burgess of Venice, FL, Tabitha (Caleb) Baird of Paducah, KY, Stacy (Zachary) Daniels of Salem, KY and Corey (Wesley) Cagel of Bryan, TX and her 6 great-grandchildren.

Wilma was preceded in death by her son Garry Burgess, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Wilma's hobbies included collecting crystal and music boxes. She was a great follower of fashion. Family and friends were very important in her life.
