William Kurek, Jr.'s Obituary
William Kurek, Jr., age 80 of Brocton, passed away at 9:26 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his residence. He was a supervisor for Unarco and also was a custodian for Shiloh School. Born June 7, 1935 in Chicago, he was the son of the late William Valentine Kurek, Sr. and the late Helen Stella (Wozniak) Kurek. He married Kathryn Sue (Rollings) Kurek December 31, 1994 and she survives. Other survivors include a son Michael Lee Kurek of Newman, a daughter Angela Emery and her husband Michael of Brocton, three grandchildren; Danny Robert Kurek of Gilbert, Arizona, Jade Nicole Emery of Brocton, and Skylar Levi Emery of Brocton, a sister Shirley Ulman of Polo, Illinois, a brother Robert Kurek and his wife Doris of Tuscumbia, Alabama, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marie (Natoriana) Kurek, and a sister Helen Zubek. Visitation for Mr. Kurek will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Payne Cemetery.
