William O. Englum, age 78 of Paris, IL passed away at 4:00 AM on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at The Haven of Paris. 

Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Friday, June 26, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Paris. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at the church with Fr. Aloysius Ndeanaefo officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 

William was born on October 23, 1947 in Paris, Illinois to James and Mildred (Phelps) Englum. 

He retired from Meco after 33 years and was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs and enjoyed bowling and drinking coffee.

He is survived by his children: Emily Delashmit and Steven Englum; his grandchildren: Allison Englum, Maggie Englum, Morgen Kirkhart, Baylee Mood, Tiffani Delashmit, and Nathaniel Harbour; his great grandchildren: Myli Kirkhart, Mia Kirkhart, Cooper Mood, Apollo Mood, Gemma Mood; and his sister: Mary Carolyn Durham. 

William was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Aggie Wild. 

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to The Haven of Paris.
