William Lee "Bill" Blair, age 85 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 3:54 P.M. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Horizon Health surrounded by family.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Blue officiating. Burial will take place in Edgar Cemetery.
Bill was born on April 8, 1938 in Neoga, Illinois to Burnis William and Lettie Fern (Redden) Blair. He married Marcella Flow Meeks on February 1, 1958 at the Lutheran Church in Paris. She preceded him in death.
Bill worked at the Illinois Cereal Mill for 42 years. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and working on small engines.
He is survived by his children: Donna (James) Jones of Paris, Illinois, Steven (Judy) Blair of Paris, Illinois, William Lee Blair II of Paris, Illinois; his grandchildren: William Lee Blair III, Dustin Blair, Andrew Blair, Kaytlin Huxford, Nathan Tague, Preston Jones, Addie Jones; 8 great grandchildren; and his siblings: Don Blair, Paul Blair, Randy Blair, Gary Blair, Larry Blair, Sandy McGee, Sharon Egan, and Karen Wilson.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his sisters: Mary and Louise, and his daughter-in-law, Cathy Blair.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Shriners Childrens Hospital.
