Wayne A. Johnson, age 80, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 10:42 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at his residence.  He retired from Syngenta Seed Company where he worked in maintenance and seed delivery.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and their friends and loved camping.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home.

Wayne was born on August 12, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Axel Johnson and Irene Noonan Johnson.  He married Letha L. Jester Johnson in 1972 in Chicago, Illinois and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sister Yvonne (William)  Freundt of Chicago, Illinois; his children Misty Johnson (Mark Ingle), Wayne (Carrie) Johnson, Jr., and Charles (Lekella) Johnson of Paris, Illinois; his grandchildren Donny Johnson and Danny (Amber) Johnson of Paris, Illinois, Sean Johnson of Dana, Indiana, Sidney Johnson of Terre Haute, Indiana, Lacie (Brice Switzer) Johnson of Paris, Illinois, Nicole Johnson and Naomi Johnson of Mattoon, Illinois, Larrissa Solomon, Gannon Waltz, and Chayton Johnson of Paris, Illinois; his great-grandchildren Reilly Johnson of Florida, Bentley Johnson, Kaiden Johnson, and Gracelee of Paris, Illinois, Cooper Brown of Marshall, Illinois, and Rayden Johnson and Nova-Lei Johnson of Dana, Indiana.

Wayne was also preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Johnson and his brothers David Johnson and Curtis Johnson.
