Wanda Maxine McKnight, age 81, of Chrisman, Illinois passed away at 12:34 A.M. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Villas of Hollybrook in Danville, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Woodland Cemetery in Chrisman, Illinois.
Maxine was born on December 27, 1941 to Webster Maxwell and Meryl Mildred (Witt) Fulton. She married James B. McKnight on June 4, 1961 in Long Beach, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2023.
Maxine was the office manager for Pleasant Meadows Christian Village for over 40 years. She was a longtime and active member at Chrisman United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Priscilla Club, Chrisman Community Club, Chrisman United Methodist Women, and a member of the church choir.
Maxine enjoyed flower gardening, reading, watching her grandkids sporting events, sitting on her deck enjoying her yard, and delivering peace meals.
She is survived by her children: Tracey Rademacher of Chrisman, Illinois, Gwen (Scott) Ross of Chrisman, Illinois; her grandchildren: ReAnna Rademacher (Ryan Diener) of Chrisman, Illinois, Taylor (Christina) Ross of Mahomet, Illinois, Logan (Jessie) Ross of Marshall, Illinois, Nathan Ross of Chrisman, Illinois, Shelby (Brett) Simons of Scottland, Illinois; her great grandchildren: Nicholas Christopher, Olivia Rademacher, Lucas Ross, Evan Ross, Julianna Ross, and Henry Ross; and her sister: Norma Jean Martin of Covington, Louisiana.
Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her grandson Jared Rademacher, and her sister Maryellen Craig.
Memorials may be made to Chrisman United Methodist Church.
