Wanda M. Deem age 95 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 4:30 AM on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at The Haven of Paris.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home, burial will take place in Edgar Cemetery. 

Wanda was born on September 11, 1930 in Kansas, Illinois to Leo and Lodema (Kemper) Smock. She married Charles Deem on September 24, 1948 in Paris, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

She was a bookkeeper at Horace Link for several years before dedicating her time to being a homemaker. Wanda had a creative spirit and enjoyed painting and quilting. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Fighting Illini Basketball fan. 

She is survived by her children: Sharon Knapp (Daryl), Jack Deem (Lucy), Janet Yates (Anthony), Thomas Deem (Chosen Family); her grandchildren: Sean, Michael, Bryan, Alex, and Jenifer; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and her sister, Ruby Staley.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Max Smock.
