Vito R. Moreschi, age 71 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. He was the owner and operator of Savoia's Restaurant in Paris and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris. Born September 7, 1946 in Boretto, Italy, he was the son of the late Mario and Lidia (Borelli) Moreschi. He married Karen S. (West) Moreschi April 15, 1972 in West Frankfort, Illinois. Mrs. Moreschi passed away January 21, 2004. Survivors include four children; Mark (Tricia) Moreschi, Monica Moreschi Smith, Mathew (Lindsay) Moreschi, and Michael (Paige Elledge) Moreschi, all of Paris, Illinois, two brothers, Umberto and Arturo Moreschi, both of Italy, six grandchildren; Emma Moreschi, Isabella Moreschi, Mylah Moreschi, Leo Smith, Mateya Moreschi, and Merritt Moreschi, all of Paris, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Visitation for Mr. Moreschi will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial, in St. Mary's Cemetery, will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
