February 16, 1929 – October 23, 2018
Virginia Mae Throneburg, age 89 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Gibson Family Center For Hospice Care in Terre Haute, Indiana. Mrs. Throneburg had been employed by the Zenith Corporation for 20 years as a pre-audit inspector. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church where she had been Sunday school teacher for 35 years and was a member of the Pioneer Club at Zenith.
Born February 16, 1929 in Chrisman, Illinois, Virginia was the daughter of the late Glenn and Gertrude (Campbell) Arrasmith. She married Norman Throneburg June 29, 1946 in Morganfield, Kentucky. Mr. Throneburg passed away July 12, 1987.
Survivors include children; Norma English and her husband Ron of Albion, Illinois, Dale Throneburg, Sr. and his wife Bobbie of Paris, Illinois, Richard Throneburg of Paris, Illinois, Cheryl McCammon and her husband Ron of Paris, Illinois, and Michael Throneburg of Paris, Illinois, siblings; Alice Gordon, Kay Boren, Karen Wood, and Linda Ellingsworth, all of Paris, Illinois, and Kathy Maxwell of Kentucky, Grandchildren; Rhonda Heleine of West Union, Illinois, Tammy Pittenger of Marshall, Illinois, Ed Miller of Marshall, Illinois, Dale Throneburg, Jr. of Paris, Illinois, Dee Davis of Patoka, Indiana, Shannon English of Metcalf, Illinois, Brad Robison of Carbondale, Illinois, Kevin McCammon of Indiana, Melody Adams of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Brian Throneburg of Paris, Illinois, Cathie Sams of Danville, Illinois, and Shawn Robison of Paris, Illinois, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers; Robert Arrasmith, Edgar Arrasmith, Gerald Arrasmith, and Larry Arrasmith, two sisters, Betty Cataldo and Barbara Booker, and one grandson Troy English.
Visitation for Mrs. Throneburg will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Stahl officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
