Virginia Mae Thomas, age 83 of Paris, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Paris Health Care Center in Paris. She was a homemaker and had attended Grace Fellowship Church. Born May 28, 1932 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Herbie and Mamie Kathryn (McIntyre) Wallace. Survivors include her daughter Jenny McIlwain and her husband Robert of Paris, a granddaughter Lisa Moore Porter and her husband Steve of Paris, four great grandchildren; Jordan McIlwain, Kenny McIlwain, Lauryn Moore, and Shaden Porter, all of Paris, a brother Paul Wallace of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Allen, Bill, and Jack Wallace, and two sisters, Mary Maloney and Rose Brooks. Visitation for Virginia will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Townsley officiating. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery, near Marshall, Illinois.
