Virgil Richard Lacy, Sr., age 80, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Horizon Health Paris Community Hospital.

A visitation will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. with Military Honors at 5:00p.m.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.

He was born in Paris, Illinois on June 19, 1941. The son of the late John Lacy and Thelma (Weir) Lacy. He married Katherine (Malone) Lacy on June 12, 1965. She preceded him in death on  February 11, 2003.

Virgil was a laborer at Billiard Repairs. He also worked at Simonton Windows and Northrup King. He also served his country as a member in the United States Military from 1961 to 1964.

He is survived by his children: Carla Olinger of Paris, Illinois, Bradley (Jackie) Lacy of Paris, Illinois, Virgil (Shannon) Lacy, Jr. of Paris, Illinois; his siblings: Charles Lacy of Tacoma, Washington, Patricia Lacy of Watseka, Illinois; his grandchildren; Joshua Smith, Brittany Yantis, Dustin Olinger, Molly Lacy, Richard Marietta, and Evan Lacy.

Virgil is preceded in death by his son, Clifford Lacy; his siblings: James and Janie, and his grandchild, Austin Lacy.
