Vicki W. Mercer, age 75, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 9:42 P.M. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Horizon Health Paris Community Hospital.

Services will be private. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Vicki was born on February 3, 1947 in Paris, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Sherman G. and Joy M. (Chambers) Wright. She married John Mercer on December 15, 1967 in Paris. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2021.

Vicki was a retail associate. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Paris. During her spare time, she enjoyed painting, reading, music, and interior decorating.

She is survived by her children: Heather Claypool (Eric Core) of Glendale, Ohio and James Mercer (Vicki) of St. Louis, Missouri.

Vicki is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Sherman Wright Jr.
