Tom Sell Kauffman, 86 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 at Paris Community Hospital/Horizon Health Emergency Room. He was a tree trimmer and jack of all trades.  Tom was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601.

Born October 6, 1932 in Paris, he was the son of the late Joe Sell Kauffman and the late Emma (Myers) Kauffman. He married Dolly Hobbs August 24, 1977 in Paris and she survives.  Other survivors include his children Candis McCarty of Paris and Troy Kauffman of Dennison, step-children; Donna Petty of Paris, Sandy Cunningham of Paris, Rose Sims of Marshall, David Cusick of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Betty Griffin of Paris, twenty grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Della Fee, Dorothy Kauffman, Helen Lorene Kauffman, Lee Kauffman, and Joe Kauffman, and half siblings Alvin Kauffman and Priscilla Kauffman.
