Thelma J. Baker, age 99, of Paris, IL passed away at 10:25 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2015, Twin Lakes Rehab, Paris. She was a homemaker and worked as a clerk at the Horney Variety Store for 10 years. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Services are 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Thelma was born May 6, 1915 in Kankakee, IL the daughter of the late Haswell M. and Della B. Searle Drazy. She married Charles Franklin Baker August 26, 1938 in Kankakee, IL and he passed away December 25, 1988.
Thelma is survived by her son Charles Franklin Baker, Jr. and wife Judy of Phoenix, AZ and her daughter Barbara Faye Wooters and husband John of Paris; her grandchildren Mike Baker and wife Sharon, Suzie Baker, David Baker, Jeff Baker, Ann Lucchesi and husband Bob, Mary Kessler and husband Hersh, Linda Howard, and Angela Wooters. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Wayne Baker, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
