Tamara Rae (Maples) Gilbert, age 61, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 6:11 P.M. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Horizon Health Paris Community Hospital.

No services are scheduled at this time. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tamara was born on December 23, 1961 in Danville, Illinois to Richard Dale and Paula Rae (Ingram) Maples.

She was a housekeeping supervisor at Horizon Health. Tamara enjoyed diamond art, reading, and taking care of her house plants. Above all else, she loved spending time with children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Dallas Newlin of Paris, Illinois, Bailey Maples of Kansas, Illinois; her grandchildren: Ellie Taylor of Paris, Illinois, Randolph Newlin Jr. of Paris, Illinois; her siblings: Cheryl Clements of Paris, Illinois, Caren Fraser of Slocomb, Alabama, Eric Lee Maples of Paris, Illinois, Richard William Maples of Paris, Illinois; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Tamara is preceded in death by her son, Tanner Rae Pfeifer, and her parents.

Memorials may be made to Make a Wish Foundation in honor of Tamara's son, Tanner.
