Stewart Mark Reeley, age 74, of Paris passed away at 12:45 A.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.

Memorial visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Edgar Cemetery.

Mark was born on July 18, 1949 in Paris, Illinois to John and Martha (Boyer) Reeley. He married Dani Lynn Trott on November 24, 1979 at the First United Methodist Church in Paris and she survives.

Mark was a 1967 graduate of Kansas High School. He graduated with a degree in Education from Southern Illinois University and in 1985 he obtained his Master's in Public Administration from Indiana State University.

He retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation after over 29 years in 2005. He was a longtime and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris. Mark enjoyed bicycle riding, making beer and wine, classical music, golf, bowling, duck hunting, fast pitch softball and playing washers.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, his sister: Madelyn Woodruff of Springfield, Illinois, his brother: Terry Reeley of Mattoon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his father.
