Shirley Jean Umberger's Obituary
Shirley Jean Umberger, age 82 of Sycamore, Illinois and formerly of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center in DeKalb, Illinois. She was a homemaker. Born July 17, 1934 in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Marie (Williams) Davidson. She married Herman Umberger September 30, 1950 and he passed away November 30, 1984. Survivors include four daughters; Alicia (Mitch) Clark of Mesquite, Nevada, Sharon Wilson of Woodville, Texas, Robin Hansen of Phoenix, Arizona, and Sherry (David) Johnson of Sycamore, Illinois, one son Brian (Sandy) Umberger of Denton, Texas, a brother Joe Davidson of Paris, Illinois, 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, and one brother. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be private. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
