Shirley Ann Englum Spillman, age 80 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Paris Health Care Center. She was a homemaker and a partner at Just Whistle Auction Company. Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Paris High School and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society.

Born July 25, 1937 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Marie (Madden) Englum. She married A.W. Whistle Spillman June 2, 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church; he passed away May 13, 2008. Survivors include two children, Mary Liz Wright and her husband Phil of Paris and Dan Spillman and his wife Larisa of Pittsboro, North Carolina, six grandchildren; Madden Lieland and her husband Josh of Batesville, Indiana, Agnes Wright of Paris, Nora Walsh and her husband Jeff of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Elphie, John Whistle, and Louis Spillman, all of Pittsboro, North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four siblings; Mary Louise Tackitt, Betty Hummer, and Bill and Joseph Englum.

The Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. At Shirley's request, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
