Shirley W. Powell's Obituary
Shirley W. Powell age 80 of Paris, IL passed away at 8:20 a.m., Sunday October 11, 2015 in Paris Health Care Center, Paris.
She was a member of the Paris Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation is also Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
She was born April 22, 1935 in Paris the daughter of the late Ray E. and Wilmetta Hill Wallace.
Shirley married George H. Powell August 8, 1953 in Sumter, South Carolina and he passed away September 17, 2005.
She is survived by her daughters: Jennifer (Greg) Whiteman and Mandy (Jeremy) Branson all of Paris; her grandchildren: Scott (Rachel) Powell, Josh (Kayla) Whiteman, Sarah (Thomas) Barnes, Brendan Fansler and Austin Fansler all of Paris; her great-grandchildren Kaylee, Alivia, Izabellah, Macy, with her fifth great-grandchild expected in December to Scott and Rachel; and her sister: Dixie Hart of Paris.
She was preceded in death by her sister Sara Bett Nichols.
