Shirley E. Finney, age 80, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 1:09 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

In keeping with State of Illinois mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone attending the service must wear a mask while inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects may do so.

A  visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois, with a funeral service following. Burial will be held at the Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois.

Shirley was born on May 12, 1940 in Redmon, Illinois to the late Glen and Edith (Hunt) Cartwright. She married Donald R. Finney on July 20, 1958 in Oakland, Illinois. Shirley was a homemaker, mother, wife, and grandmother who brought joy to her family.

She is survived by her husband: Donald R. Finney of Paris, Illinois; her children: Terry Finney of Greenup, Illinois, Greg (Jan) Finney of Paris, Illinois, Lorelei (Brian) Whitezel of Paris, Illinois; her grandchildren: Ryan Knobloch of Winterset, Iowa, Dustin (Chantell) Whitezel of Paris, Illinois, Danielle (Chris) Jena of Brazil, Indiana; and her great-grandchildren: Gracie Whitezel, Austin Jena, and Katelyn Jena.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Glen and Edith (Hunt) Cartwright and her brother Don Cartwright.
