Sandra Korte's Obituary
Sandra Korte, 57, of Paris passed away at 8:15 pm on Wednesday, January 27 in her home following a brave battle with an extended illness. Sandy was a certified dietary aide and worked with special needs adults for many years in group home settings. Sandy was most happy when helping others and always volunteered her time and service to those in need.
Sandy was born February 26, 1958 in Paris the daughter of John Jay Dorothy and Betty Brown Dorothy. She is survived by two sisters Becky Moore and Debby (Dann) Scott. Sandy is the mother of three sons which were the light of her life. Bradley (Genevieve) Korte and Darrick (Kara) Korte both of Bloomington, IN and Logan (Harley Johnson) Korte of Paris. She was also an adopted mother to Garrett Eveland and he was her family from the day they met. Sandy was blessed with three grandchildren, Nolan, Reese and Gavin Korte who have given her some of the happiest moments of her life. Her life was truly enriched when they were born. She is also survived by her fiance, Danny Mohler, who was her life partner and best friend. Sandy also had three beloved dogs, Bailey, Buster and Skipper who kept her company and brought her comfort during her illness and hardest days.
Sandy will be remembered always for her generous spirit and unending loyalty to family and friends. She was an angel who walked among us and all who knew her had their lives made better by her presence.
Sandy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris.
By her request, no formal service is planned. A private celebration of her life will be conducted by her family and friends at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Do It Organization of Paris or the Edgar County Humane Association. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
