Samuel Joe Rigsby, 60 of Paris, Illinois passed away January 2, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

Sam chose cremation, Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family. Graveside services will be private with immediate family.

He was born May 3, 1962 to Samuel Thomas and Mary Bonnie Lubovich Rigsby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents Samuel and Jessie Rigsby, maternal grandparents Joe and Mary Lubovich and his precious niece Jodi Jackson.

Sam is survived by his girlfriend and best friend of eleven years, Kristi Sims of Paris, sisters Audie(Dale) Jackson of Clinton, Kris (Brian) Powell of Rockville and his brother Jim Rigsby of Clinton. He is also survived by his little dog Lacy, along with nieces, nephews, great nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Sam was always a hard worker willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with Kristi gardening and completing her "Honey Do" lists. In the past he enjoyed playing euchre and pool with family and friends.
