S. Thomas Switzer, age 85 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2019 at Paris Health Care Center. He was a custodian for Citizens Bank in Paris. He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of Cross Point Apostolic Church.

Born December 31, 1933 in Edgar County, Illinois, he was the son of the late Samuel D. and Letha (DePriest) Switzer. He married Evellyn Rhoads August 22, 1957 in Paris, Illinois.  Survivors include his wife Evellyn Switzer of Paris, children; Debra G. (Tim) Gosnell of Marshall, Illinois, Ferron E. (Karen) Switzer of Paris, Gary D. (Bonnie) Switzer of Chino Valley, Arizona, and Leslie J. (Todd) Padrick of Lerna, Illinois, one sister Herriett Gann of Paris, several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings; Beulah Gill, LeRoy "Pec" Switzer, Clifton Switzer, Betty Webster, Rosie Clements, Thelma Sly, Susie Woods, Ruth Rose, and Charles Switzer.
