Ruth Marie LaBaume, age 75 of Charleston, Illinois and formerly of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 8:12 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital in Mattoon, Illinois. She was a Physical Therapist and a Nurse's Assistant.  She also was a former member of Horace Baptist Church.

Born December 28, 1943 in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Richard Wilson and the late Edith Maxine (McConkey) Wilson Griffin Hollingsworth. She married Woodrow E. LaBaume, Sr. July 6, 1996 in Paris and he survives.  She is also survived by children, Sandra Strammer of Goshen, Indiana and Bob Strammer of Charleston, Illinois, step-children; Woody LaBaume, Jr. of Paris, Illinois, Tammy Sue LaBaume of Paris, Illinois, and Amy LaBaume Johnson of Clearwater, Florida, step-siblings; Bill Griffin of Grandview, Illinois, Barbara Griffin Shepard of Paris, Illinois, Judy Griffin Jenkins of Clinton, Indiana, Jimmy Griffin of Texas, and Jean Elledge of Paris, Illinois, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son Michael Strammer and three step-siblings; Kenny Dale Griffin, Linda Blair, and Jackie Griffin.

Graveside services for Mrs. LaBaume will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at Edgar Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:45 p.m. Friday at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.  For further information and online condolences, please visit www.stewartandcarrollfuneralhome.com .
