Ruth Becker, age 104, of Covington, Indiana, formerly of Paris passed away at 8:05 P.M. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at The Waters of Covington.

A visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with burial in Edgar Cemetery.

Ruth was born March 3, 1917 in Oakland, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruby (Smith) Jones. She married Wilbur Becker on November 18, 1941 in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death.

Ruth was a Homemaker and also worked with her husband for several years at the South Side Market. She was member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary 3601, American Legion Auxiliary 211, Red Hats Society, Grandmothers Club, Business and Professional Women and the Line Dancing Group at the Senior Center. She was a longtime and active member at 1 ^st United Methodist Church in Paris.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Kochell of Covington, Indiana, her grandchildren: Tony (Carmen) Kochell of Deltona, Florida, Cathy Carrion of Oakwood, Illinois; her great grandchildren: Karmen Kochell of Oakwood, Illinois, Antonio Carrion of Perrysville, Indiana, Anna Carrion of Danville, Illinois, Beth Westwater of Dallas, Texas, Chloe Westwater of Surrey, B.C. Canada, Deklan Westwater of Surrey, B.C. Canada, Achaius Westwater of Surrey, B.C. Canada; her great great grandchild, Hadley Kent of Oakwood, Illinois; her sister-in-law Elaine Becker; her grandson-in-law John Westwater (Jasmine) of Surrey, B.C. Canada; and also a bonus daughter, Roxanne Michels of Paris, Illinois.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Eldon Jones, her sister, Comelita Voss, her grandchild, Teresa Westwater, her son-in-law Jim, her best friend, Yolanda Michels, and several  favorite pets and grand dogs
