Rosalie C. Garvin's Obituary
Rosalie C. Garvin, age 82 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Paris Health Care Center, Paris, Illinois. Rosalie was a telephone operator for GTE and also was employed by U.O. Colson & Company. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Born April 23, 1932 in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur J. and Dorothy E. (Bright) Boyer. She first married Virgil Christenson, Jr. July 25, 1953, she later married John Joseph Garvin February 26, 1965 and he passed away February 1, 1966. Survivors include five children; Michael Barry Christenson of Land O Lakes, Wisconsin, Robert Lynn Christenson of Rockford, Illinois, James Curtis Christenson of Appleton, Wisconsin, Sharon Olson of Viroqua, Wisconsin and Debbie Easterday of Westby, Wisconsin, a sister, Phyllis Ann Davidson of Chrisman, Illinois, a sister-in-law Loretta Boyer of Paris, Illinois and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Boyer.

Graveside services for Rosalie will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Edgar Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Stahl officiating.
Visitation will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
