Ronald James Wieland age 80 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Friday October 23, 2020 at his home.
In keeping with Federal Mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone is asked to be patient and abide by the state regulation of 25 visitors with masks allowed inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome, but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects will be able to do so. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 27, 2020 with a funeral service following at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois.
Ronald was born February 15, 1940 in Kansas, Illinois the son of the late Ernest and Margaret Davis Wieland.
He married Wanda Martin on December 1, 2008.
Ronald served in the Illinois National Guard 1544 th Transportation unit in Paris, Illinois. After his time in the military he worked for the railroad as a mechanic and operator.
He is survived by his wife: Wanda; his children: Troy (Julie) Wieland of Paris, Illinois, Jim (Alison) Wieland of Orlando, Florida, Erin (Caleb) Pickens of Marshall, Illinois; his grand-children: Brittany Wieland of Paris, Illinois, Blake Wieland of Cambridge, Ohio, Jamie Wieland of Orlando, Florida; his siblings: Nancy Secondino of Vermillion, Illinois, Leroy (Carolyn) Wieland of Paris, Illinois, Robert "Weegie" Wieland of Paris, Illinois, Rick Wieland of Paris, Illinois; his great-grand-children: Jenna Wieland of Paris, Illinois, River Wieland of Cambridge, Ohio; his step-grand-children: Hayden Pender, Linsey Pender, Skylar Pender, Ryker Pickens, Toby Pickens and Elsie Pickens all of Marshall, Illinois.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Margaret Wieland.
Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
