Ronald Wayne Smith, age 83, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 11:45 A.M. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his residence.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at Vermilion Cemetery.

Ronald was born February 11, 1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He is the son of the late Wayne H and Frieda Crum Smith. He married Julia Mae on August 9, 1956 in Kentucky. She survives.

Ronald was a farmer and a truck driver. He previously served in the Indiana Air National Guard.

He is survived by his siblings: Sharon Lynn Barbour of Terre Haute, Indiana, John Robert Smith of Alcolu, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald is preceded in death by his son Rodney Wayne Smith.
