Ronald William Ross, age 81, of Chrisman, Illinois passed away at 2:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00P.M. on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, Masonic service will follow. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Chrisman, Illinois.

Ronald was born on February 12, 1942 in Clinton, Indiana to the late James William and Mabel Lucille (Harp) Ross. He married Barbara Ann Smitley on July 1, 1962 at the Chrisman Christian Church and she survives.

Ronald was a supervisor at Eli Lily. He was a longtime member of Metcalf Christian Church. He was also a member of the Ridge Farm Masonic Lodge. Ronald enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fishing, and camping, and above all else; his family was his whole world.

He is survived by his children: Scott (Gwen) Ross, Mark (Tonya) Ross, Angela Redmon all of Chrisman, Illinois, his grandchildren: Markallen Ross, Amy Ross, Taylor Ross, Logan Ross, Dylan Ross, Nathan Ross, Lindsey Ross, Levi Potter, Shelby Simons, Kelsey Potter; and his 9 great grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Carol Davidson and his son in law, Roger Redmon.
