Rodney "Ronnie" Clark Jewell, age 74 of Charleston, Illinois, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Ronnie was a Labor Pool-assembler for Trailmobile and was formerly in the Navy Reserves.

Born April 26, 1944 in Tuscola, Illinois, he was the son of Earl and Jessie (Wells) Jewell. He married Judy Bussart September 13, 1964 at the Dudley Methodist Church in Dudley, Illinois and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter Melinda Gaines and her husband Brian of Newman, Illinois, siblings; Rose Salter and her husband Don of Paris, Lois Anderson of Clinton, Indiana, Linda Studey and her husband Wayne of Clinton, Indiana, Anna Currey of Clinton, Indiana, and John Jewell of Texas, three grandchildren; Kayla Ross and her husband Jim of Reno, Arkansas, Joshua McIntyre and his wife Danica of Kansas, Illinois, and Bailey McIntyre and her fiancé Dylan Campbell of Brocton, Illinois, and six great grandchildren; Russell, Lacy, and Landon McIntyre, all of Kansas, Illinois, James and Clark Ross, both of Reno, Arkansas, and Knox Campbell of Brocton, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two children, Troy Jewell and Melissa Jewell, and a brother Paul Jewell.
