Robert E. Johnson's Obituary
Robert E. Johnson, age 81, of Paris, IL passed away at 9:57 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015, Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was a Federal Bank Examiner for the United States Treasury Department and a member of the First Baptist Church in Paris. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 211 and enjoyed playing golf.
Robert was born February 22, 1933 in Paris, the son of the late Raymond G. and Dora Z. Inman Johnson.
He married Irma Switzer Johnson in Rantoul in 1953.
Robert served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Irma; his children Brenda Robison of Paris, Cheryl Andersen of Wheaton, and Beth Johnson of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren Heather (Tyler) Carson of Tokyo, Japan, Holly Robison of Chicago, Jamie Andersen of Aurora; his great-grandchildren Bran Carson and Athena Carson; his sister Glenna Dee (Bob) Mackey of Paris and his brother James A. (Arleen) Johnson of FL.
Graveside services for Mr. Johnson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Edgar Cemetery.
Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601.
Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
