Robert L. Gosnell Jr., 68, of Paris, passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, at his residence.

Robert was born on October 20, 1954, in Paris, Illinois, the son of the late Robert L. Gosnell and Leona Mae Taggert.

He married Robin Ann Gann on January 16, 2015. She survives.

Robert was a truck driver by trade, driving for John Wood Trucking of rural Edgar County. When he wasn't driving, Robert enjoyed being outside hunting and fishing. He was also a motorsports enthusiast. Robert was also a longtime member of the Paris Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife: Robin of Paris; his mother: Leona Taggert Abbott of Paris; his son: Robert Lee Gosnell (Lacy) of Stevensville, MI; his granddaughters: Bailey Gosnell, Tenley Gosnell both of Stevensville, MI; his siblings: Rex Gosnell (Janet) of Chattanooga, TN, Danny Gosnell (Martha) of Paris, Kevin Gosnell (Jackie) of Paris, Dolly Vest (Stan) of Missouri, and Robert Gosnell (Bridgett) of Paris.
