Robert (Bob) Leroy Fitzsimmons, age 66 of Paris, IL passed away peacefully at 9:40 a.m., Friday December 30, 2016 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. Bob retired from the City of Paris water and sewer maintenance department after 25 Years of service. He worked part time for Iron Wheels.

Services are 10 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday January 5, 2017 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis, IN.

Bob was born August 17, 1950 in Castle Finn the son of the late Richard Edward and Winifred Mae Simpson Fitzsimmons.

Robert was a hardworking, honest, devoted father to his children and grandchildren. He was kind to his friends as well as strangers. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Bob enjoyed karaoke, working with his hands and passing on his knowledge to his children and grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his children: Robert William (Julie) Fitzsimmons of Paris, Troy Edward (Sara) Fitzsimmons of Mattoon, Lisa Renee (Kenneth) Huskey of Paris, and Troy Allen (Wendy) Tharp of Marshall; his brothers: John Paul Fitzsimmons of Paris, Fred Eugene Fitzsimmons of West York, and Ronnie L. Fitzsimmons of Paris; and his grandchildren: Kayleb, Skylar, Ethan, Logan, Mia, Zak and Jake. Bob will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his daughter: Cassie Yvonne; his granddaughter: Micheala Maye; his grandson: Kenneth Ethan; his brother Richard Danny and his sister Ruby Ann.
