Robert Eugene Craig, age 78 of rural Chrisman, Illinois, passed away at 8:01 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. He was an Electrical Engineer for Enerstar for 41 years and the owner/operator of Craig's Warehouse, Inc. in Paris, Illinois. Mr. Craig was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He loved helping his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed working, farming and being outdoors. He was a member of Chrisman Methodist Church and attended Kidley Community Church. Born May 16, 1936 in Edgar Township, Edgar County, Illinois, he was the son of the late John and Opal (Montgomery) Craig. He married Joan (Sayre) Craig, the mother of his three daughters, in 1957. She passed away in 1992. He married Carol (Samford) Craig in 1993 and she survives. Other survivors include his daughters: Deborah Lowe and her husband Bruce of Chrisman, Illinois, Jean Burkett and her husband Brian of Champaign, Illinois and Kathy Dalton and her husband Wyley of Champaign, Illinois, step-daughters: Shawna Heath and her husband Gary of Chrisman, Illinois and Shelley Bishop and her husband Brian of Chrisman, Illinois, three sisters: Carrie Neal of Chrisman, Illinois, Linda Brinkerhoff of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mamie Boyer of Chrisman, Illinois, eight grandchildren: Jassem Holvani, Renda Holvani, Amanda Blair, Lisa Colter, Nichole Lockett, Lela Lowe, Selena Lockett and Emma Butler, twelve great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren: Brett Bishop, Grace Bishop and Carolyn Heath. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Joan, a brother John Craig, Jr. and two sisters: Mae Brown and Mary Balach. Visitation for Mr. Craig will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
