Robert Lee (Bob) Plew, age 78 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 5:08 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care Center in Paris. He owned and operated Bob Plew Concrete and Construction. He was a member of the Paris Girls Softball Association and attended Lake Ridge Christian Church. Born December 12, 1938 in Paris, he was the son of the late Palmer Plew and the late Loretta (Nail) Plew White. He married Alice (Henderson) Plew November 23, 1963 in Paris, she passed away April 25, 2011. Survivors include a daughter Penny (Brian) Heidemann of Oakland, Illinois, four grandchildren; Amber (Greg) Card of Concord New Hampshire, Lindsey (Clayton) Griffin of Paris, Katie (Cody) Yocum of Calera, Alabama, and Samie Heidemann of Oakland, Illinois, six great grandchildren; Brayden, Lily, and Robert Card, all of Concord, New Hampshire, Blaise Davis and Zoe Griffin of Paris, and Paisley Coombes of Calera, Alabama, and five siblings; Kitti Rickman, Suzie (Jim) Hewitt, John O. (Cheryl) White, Gary White, and Mike Plew, all of Paris. He was preceded in death by a sister Carol Lynch. Visitation for Mr. Plew will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2017 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private burial in Edgar Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paris Girls Softball Association.
