Raymond R. Craig, age 84 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care in Paris. He had been employed by the Illinois Cereal Mill. Mr. Craig was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 211. Born October 16, 1932 in Brouilletts Creek Township, Edgar County, Illinois, he was the son of the late Raymond and Florence (Goosey) Craig. He married Wreatha (Knight) Craig April 28, 1955 in Paris and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter Ramona Lea Craig of New Orleans, Louisiana, two sons Rick Allen (Hilda) Craig of Chrisman, Illinois and Jim Ray Craig of Terre Haute, Indiana, two grandchildren Cody Craig of Paris, Illinois and Jamie Bennett of Camargo, Illinois, three great-grandchildren Jagger Craig of Paris, Illinois, and Jeryn and Jace Bennett of Camargo, Illinois, a brother Wayne Craig of Clinton, Indiana, and four sisters; Mary Katherine Camp of Paris, Illinois, Ruth Ann Pine of Paris, Illinois, Lois Darlene (Jim) Bogle of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Karen Sue Jones of St. Bernice, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Walter Craig and Raymond Craig, Jr., and three sisters; Lucille Willming, Norma Craig and Naomi Craig. Visitation for Mr. Craig will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601. Memorial contributions may be made to Paul Warner Animal Rescue.
