Ray Allen Kennedy, age 82, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 5:23 AM on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Twin Lakes Extended Care.

No services are planned. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ray was born on March 16, 1944, in Paris, Illinois to Arch and Mabel (Daily) Kennedy. He married Karen Batchelor and she preceded him in death.

Ray proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1962 to 1965 and also served in the Army National Guard. He worked for the Illinois Cereal Mill for many years and retired from Eagle-Picher. Ray found great joy in fostering children and enjoyed spending time singing karaoke.

He is survived by his children: Rick Kennedy of Paris, Illinois, Crystal Kennedy; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, nine brothers, and two sisters.
