Randy Eugene Powell, age 78 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Lufkin, Texas while visiting family.

Per his wishes, no services will be held. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Randy was born on October 15, 1947, in Paris, Illinois to Herschel and Florence Wanita (Frye) Powell. He married Patricia Mooneyham and she survives.

Randy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a machinist at Trailmobile and worked at Simonton Windows for many years. Randy was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, a member of the Gun Club, and enjoyed hunting, working on cars, and spending time with his animals, especially his Siberian Husky.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Powell; his children: Rhanada Phillippi, Lance Powell; his grandchildren: Tamia Phillippi, Logan Powell, Penelope Phillippi, Kylynn Powell, Axel Powell; his great grandchildren: Ilonny Phillippi, Ryker Phillippi; and his siblings: Jainie Brann, Karen Henry and Brent Powell.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents.
