P hoebe L. Johnson age 64 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 4:17 p.m. on December 31, 2020 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.
In keeping with State of Illinois mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, all services are private. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements
She was retired from Eli Lilly, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Circle, she was also a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a Youth Leader and a Sunday School teacher. Phoebe was a Girl Scout Leader; she also helped at Johnson's Bait Shop and helped several homeless children. She was a graduate of the Paris High School Class of 1975. Phoebe was an avid camper and loved spending time with her family.
Phoebe was born March 11 th 1956 in Paris, Illinois; she is the daughter of Otis and Pauline Shonk Rieber.
She married Joseph M. Johnson on August 24, 1974 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Paris, Illinois and he survives.
Phoebe is also survived by her mother; Pauline Shonk Rieber of Paris, Illinois, her children; Joseph "Joey" Johnson of Paris, Illinois, Brandi (Brad) Ford of Paris, Illinois, Michelle Floyd of Paris, Illinois, Shasta Johnson of Augusta, Georgia, Joseph Johnson Jr. of Chicago, Illinois, Sandra Johnson of Paris, Illinois and Hunter Johnson of Paris, Illinois, her siblings; Maxine (Carlin) Elledge of Paris, Illinois, Jim Robison of Paris, Illinois, Jerry Robison of Paris, Illinois, her grandchildren; Chelynn (Blake Tucker) Ford of Paris, Illinois, Chancey Ford of Paris, Illinois, Sefton Ford of Paris, Illinois, Dalton (Payton Cloyd) Johnson of Paris, Illinois, Brooklyn Barrett of Hume, Illinois, Clayton Floyd of Paris, Illinois and Zakre Floyd of Paris, Illinois, her great grandchildren; Trevor Tucker, Raelynn Johnson and Zayden Johnson all of Paris, Illinois and several nieces and nephews, she was preceded in death by her father; Otis Rieber; her son; Joshua Johnson and siblings; John Robison, Jack Robison, Barbara (Richard) Boatman.
