Patsy Ruth Runyan's Obituary

Patsy Ruth Runyan, age 87 of Paris, passed away at 9:50 a.m. (CST) Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, Indiana. Patsy was a self-employed Real Estate broker and owner of Runyan Real Estate. She had worked at the Edgar County Bank for five years and was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church.

Born July 9, 1931 in Blanford, Indiana, she was the daughter of Nick Plavchan and Mabel Mae (Cunningham) Soughers. She married Jack Runyan July 21, 1950 in Paris, and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dennis Runyan of Creal Springs, Illinois and Jeff Runyan of Port Charlotte, Florida, a sister Cindy Soughers of Paris, one granddaughter Holly Runyan of Paris, four great grandchildren; Dustin Walden of Evansville, Indiana, Erika Walden Ballard of Danville, Illinois, Maci David of Paris, and Hudson David of Paris, and two Great-Great Grandchildren, Xavier Ballard of Danville, Illinois and Oliver Walden of Evansville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step father Lloyd Soughers.

Graveside services for Mrs. Runyan will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Edgar Cemetery with Rev. Joe Hanley officiating. Visitation is private. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. There will be a celebration of life following the graveside service at the VFW in Paris.
