Patrick Hugh Mattingly Sr., age 82 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 10:05 A.M. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Twin Lakes Extended Care surrounded by family.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Payne Cemetery in Brocton, Illinois. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patrick was born on March 18, 1943, in Tuscola, Illinois to Bernard and Agnes (Carroll) Mattingly. He married Sandra K. Kennedy on May 13, 1974, in Paris, and she preceded him in death.

Patrick proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Bryce Canyon during the Vietnam War. He later worked on the railroad, was employed as a laborer at Trailmobile, and retired from GSI twelve years ago. Patrick enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting, fishing, and tinkering with motorcycles and tractors, but above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

He is survived by his children: Karlena Cutright (Robert) of Paris, Illinois, Patrick Mattingly Jr. (Heather) of Villa Grove, Illinois; his grandchildren: Christopher and Ryan Graves and Rowan and Wyatt Mattingly; and his sister: Carol Ann Johnson (Damon).

Patrick was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his siblings: Don Mattingly and Peggy McIntosh.
