Patricia A. Roush, age 93 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 10:36 AM on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris with Fr. Bruce Scott and Fr. Ronald Hilt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Patricia was born on August 9, 1931, in Edgar County, Illinois to Roy F. and Margaret (Englum) Curl. She married William J. Roush on November 3, 1951, in Paris.
Patricia was a dedicated homemaker, piano teacher for nearly 65 years, an organist at St. Mary's Catholic Church for 55 years, and a substitute teacher at Paris schools. She was also an active member in the Altar Society and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Patricia was a proud graduate from St. Mary of the Woods College with a degree in music in 1988. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her six children: Elizabeth Gaines of Evansville, Indiana, Robert Roush (Nancy Ann) of Morganfield, Kentucky, Richard Roush (Marcia) of Gilbert, Arizona, Rita White (David) of Clinton, Indiana, James Roush (Melissa) of Paris, Illinois, Jeffrey Roush (Lisa) of Paris, Illinois; her grandchildren: Joseph Roush (Amanda), Dan Roush, Doug Roush, Ann Harris, Lisa Riley (Nathan), Joshua Goldner (Katie), Courtney Uselman (Brian), Benjamin Roush, Emilee Ritter (George), Gabriel Roush, Jacob Roush; her 13 great grandchildren; her sister Peggy Doak (Sam) of Rock Island, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings: J. Edward Curl, Joan Bouslog, Joe Curl, Larry Curl, Mary Jean Magill, John "Jack" Curl, Rose Marie Kenney, and Carolyn Harmon.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
