Patricia Joan Mood's Obituary
Patricia Joan Mood, age 86 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 1:09 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at her residence. She was a seamstress for Lehman's Clothing Store. She was a member of Community Bible Church, where she had been secretary for the Church Sunday School. Mrs. Mood loved fishing and mowing, and also enjoyed working on cars with her husband. She loved puzzles, including crossword puzzles and mahjong. She also painted, played the piano, crocheted, and knitted. Born September 14, 1931 in Doolittle Mills, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Ernestine (Young) Wright. She married Gene Allan Mood June 11, 1949 in Redmon, Illinois; he passed away in 1983. Survivors include seven children; Glenda Perisho and her husband Paul, Cindy Mood, Deb Stickler and her husband Raymond, Terry Mood, Steve Mood, Jean Conine and her husband Randy, and Scott Mood and his wife Mindy, all of Paris, Illinois, nineteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one brother Dennis Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Lee Wright, a step-brother Jess Johnson, Jr., and a step-sister Eleanor Johnson. Visitation for Mrs. Mood will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Pastor David Laborde officiating. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.
