Norma L. Patterson, age 95, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 3:40 P.M. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Horizon Health Paris Community Hospital.

Following cremation, a visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church in Paris. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Norma was born on April 22, 1926 in Jacksonville, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late John W. and Dorothea (Buescher) Fricke. She married Richard J. Drake in 1949; he preceded her in death on August 19, 1987. She later married Bernard G. Patterson on December 27, 1991 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Arenzville, Illinois; he survives.

Norma was an executive secretary to the operations manager at CIPS for 46 ½ years. She was also a longtime active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Paris, Illinois.

She is survived by her stepchildren: Pastor Jeffrey Patterson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mark Wayne Patterson of Spring Valley, Arizona, Cheryl K. Knouse of Mt. Olive, Illinois; her 6 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran CDC or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
