Norma Rose Gosnell, age 73 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, Illinois. She was a homemaker and also was employed at Zenith Corp. Born April 27, 1942 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Sarah Elizabeth (Mason) Runyan. She married Clarence E. Gosnell, Sr. November 2, 1967 in Paris and he passed away November 16, 2007. Survivors include three sons; Jeffrey Guy Mason of Paris, Clarence E. Gosnell, Jr., of Paris, and Mitchell Lee Gosnell of Amarillo, Texas, two step-children, Tammy Smith of Casey, Illinois and Randall Scott Gosnell of New Goshen, Indiana, siblings; Will Runyan, Anna Shaffer, and Rose Welch, all of Paris, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two siblings Ernest Runyan and Mary Gosnell, and a step-son Ronald G. Gosnell. Visitation for Mrs. Gosnell will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 21 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Pastor Nate Alexander officiating. Following the service, cremation is planned.
