Norma L. Gill, age 86, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 12:13 A.M. on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Horizon Health Paris Community Hospital.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery in Marshall, Illinois.

Norma was born August 7, 1935 in Marshall, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Russell D. and Ruby Florence (Clouse) Bays. She married Clarence E. Gill. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Norma taught Sunday School for several years. She was a waitress and worked at Zenith. She was also a CNA for over 30 years and loved taking care of people. She enjoyed playing the organ, spending time with her grandchildren and she loved all of her dogs and her cat. Norma was especially thankful for her care giver, Erika.

She is survived by her children: Rick Gill (Terri McCarty) of Paris, Illinois, Brenda Marlene Reed of Paris, Illinois, Pamela Jean Ingram of Paris, Illinois; her brother, Jerry Wayne (Shirley) Bays of Marshall, Illinois; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and three nieces.

Norma is preceded in death by her daughter, Terrie Lee Hunt; her siblings: Russell A. Bays, Ray Eugene Bays, Darrell Kent Bays, Charles Bays; and one grandchild, Jamie Sudduth.
