Nora L. Haley, age 75, of Paris, IL passed away 5 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014, in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-7p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery, West Terre Haute, IN. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home. She was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene of Paris. She was a homemaker, and she was also employed by U.O. Colson and Co., Zenith Corp., Mechanics Laundry and Burger Chef.

Nora was born March 4, 1939 in LaFollette, TN, the daughter of the late Elmer and Ada Miller Riggs.

She married Lyndon D. Haley in Terre Haute, IN.

Nora is survived by her husband Lyndon; her daughter Sherry Lynne (Steve) Branch of Paris; her grandchildren Haley Evans of Paris, Ashley Evans of Kingman, IN, Steven Branch, Jr. of Paris; her siblings Rose White, Margaret (David) Miller, Elmer (Sandra) Riggs, Jr., Gary Wayne (Nancy) Riggs all of Terre Haute, IN and Tim J. Riggs of St. Louis, MO; her great-grandchildren Taylor Evans, Madison Evans, Adrienne Briseno, Laytin Pratt, Macy Baud, Ethan Branch, Carter Pratt, Jordan Pratt, Karissa Nield and Emily Branch and a very special friend Ryan Ellington of Paris.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Margie Brown, Mary McCauley, Charles Clarence Riggs and James Fred Riggs.

Nora was an avid fan of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, the St. Louis Cardinals, and IU Basketball. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nora will be remembered as a very loving and giving person.
