Naomi Elizabeth Payne, age 94, passed away at 1:08 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Union Hospital.

Services will be private. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Naomi was born on February 21, 1928 to the late Raymond and Maude (Fletcher) Snyder. She married Jesse Lee Payne on June 8, 1947. He preceded her in death.

Naomi was a manager in the retail industry. She was a longtime and active member at Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris. Naomi also enjoyed reading and crochet and was active with Rescue Me Clifford.

She is survived by her son: Darrell Lee (Patti) Payne of Sebring, Florida; her daughter-in-law: Mary Ann Payne of Hamilton, Indiana; her grandchildren: Andrew Payne of Burnsville, Minnesota, Stacey (Aaron) Hicks of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; her great-grandchildren: Nolan Hicks and Sadie Hicks; and her granddaughter-in-law: Dr. Katie Payne.

Naomi is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son: David Allen Payne; one sister, three brothers, and her two grandsons: Curtiss and Bradley Payne.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rescue Me Clifford.
